The film, a first of its kind for General Motors, follows the team who designed, engineered, and manufactured the GMC HUMMER EV, ushering in a new era of electric vehicles for the country’s largest manufacturer of automobiles. His second documentary, OUR AMERICAN FAMILY, co-directed with Hallee Adelman, premiered at Woodstock Film Festival in 2021 and is currently playing in the festival circuit before it premieres in 2022 on AMC+. Sean also directed an episode of the long running MTV documentary staple TRUE LIFE, and his original introduction to documentary filmmaking, LAND GRAB, can currently be found streaming on Amazon Prime.Sean’s critically acclaimed debut narrative feature WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2021 and was acquired by IFC Midnight. It was released theatrically later that year, and can now be found on Hulu where it has spent several months at the top of multiple charts. The film previously spent time in the top 5 of the independent charts on iTunes and Amazon. Internationally it premiered at Sitges Film Festival and is now available on various platforms and in theaters worldwide. As a producer, Sean created the Netflix Original Series LIVING UNDOCUMENTED with Executive Producer Selena Gomez, along with Lake Bell’s IN A WORLD..., Kitty Green’s THE ASSISTANT and Adam Rehmeier’s Sundance 2020 favorite DINNER IN AMERICA. He also produced Natalia Almada's award winning and soon to be released documentary, USERS, which premiered at Sundance 2021. Sean also produced Michael Polish's adaptation of Jack Kerouac's BIG SUR and Michael and Mark Polish's DIY hit FOR LOVERS ONLY.His award-winning feature films have screened at Sundance, Tribeca, Telluride, Berlinale, Sitges, SXSW and dozens of other festivals around the world. Recently for LIVING UNDOCUMENTED, he was nominated for Best Episodic Series by The International Documentary Association.
